This is an incredible fabric. It is 100% synthetic but is indistinguishable from Real Silk Velvet. It feels like it, looks like it and you can't tell the difference no matter how closely you look. Its incredible. It is, however, only a fraction of the cost of real silk velvet, it is also washable which silk velvet is not, It is very durable which again real silk velvet is not, and can be used for any project which is again not doable with real silk velvet. In other words, use it as you would any durable fabric but get the advantage of having silk velvet on your projects such as upholstery, drapery, bedding and a thousand other things.
